Pain Control
Massage reduces pain. The "pain-contraction
cycle" is one of the factors causing pain. Contraction restricts the
blood supply and waste removal causing more pain. This is a horrible cycle.
But massage can help to counteract this cycle. The massage improves the
circulation and relaxes the muscles, encouraging healing. Massage is great
pain management for cardiac patients, post-surgical, post-trauma, muscular
lesions, labor and delivery, whiplash, headache, sciatica, neuralgia, and
menstrual cramps.
